WELCOME TO BLAST FX

Evolution becomes revolution with blast fx. Transform outdated, one-dimensional body conditioning exercises into dynamic, tri-planar movement. A buff bevy of beats provide the backdrop to the workout where you choose the format; equipment or bodyweight-only.

blast fx V12.1
blast fx+ V12.1

From v11.1 onwards, each blast fx release features two versions of the same workout.

blast fx delivers dynamic conditioning via bodyweight only exercises: no equipment is necessary, making it perfect for those with limited space or without access to kit. This multi-peak workout now introduces participants to several of the most effective conditioning methodologies such as peripheral heart action and high intensity interval training and features agility, core, balance and power sessions.

blast fx + (blast fx plus) also dispenses with equipment and is now the more advanced option to progress to once you've mastered blast fx. Featuring the same soundtrack, we've expanded and progressed the routines of those songs marked with an * to provide a more intense and challenging workout. By providing you with a workout to start with in blast fx and a more challenging option to build up to in blast fx +, you're able to progressively work harder and in doing so, continue to see improvements and avoid the plateau one often encounters when training.

blast fx and blast fx +: that's two workouts for the price of one.

This release sees further evolution of the programme with the inclusion of a fitness test for you (and your class participants) to perform in weeks 1, 6, 11 and 16. Record the number of repetitions performed of each activity during the fitness test and aim to better that number each time the test is taken. For more information and to download the fitness test record card, click here.

Each release should now be treated as a body transformation challenge and the fitness test allows you (and your participants) to monitor improvements throughout the challenge period (the period of time between blast fx releases). Either in conjunction with other fitness fx programmes or on its own, blast fx (and blast fx +) is one of the most effective and enjoyable ways to lose fat fast and improve your fitness level. But don't take out word for it; perform blast fx at regular intervals, record the results of your fitness test in weeks 1, 6, 11 and 16 and prove it to yourself.

All fitness fx programmes incorporate a concept we created called pro-choreography. Short for "progressive choreography", it allows you to adapt and modify the blast fx choreography if you want to and in doing so, you're able to utilise the teaching skills learnt during your exercise to music or gym qualification. This approach lies in stark contrast to traditional pre-choreography which insists you just follow the notes, video or "script"; the outcome of which is the slow but steady demise of your teaching skills.

The choice is yours; teach any blast fx or blast fx + routine move-for-move as it appears in the video or change it to suit your own personal style or level of your class. It's up to you.

All releases after and including blast fx v10.2 feature a continuous mix workout - the music doesn’t stop and neither do we. It’s designed to keep the class fluid, the energy high and target the cardiovascular system, leading to maximum fitness gains and fat loss. By working hard in each track and reducing the rest period between them, the blast fx workout moves you into the higher realms of aerobic training. Research has shown this type of training not only burns calories during the workout but for several hours afterwards.

Once you've successfully completed the blast fx certification, you’re free to teach blast fx (and blast fx +) wherever and whenever you like. Unlike our competitors, your income is not limited by the number of licensed clubs in your area...because blast fx is licence free. We don't tie you or your clubs into an expensive licence agreement.

COMPONENTS OF THE COURSE

Course Content

The certificate course consists of two parts – a theory component and guidance in the practical techniques of blast fx.

To start, you study the theory component of the blast fx programme online. The content is presented in easy to manage sections which you work through at your own pace.

There are two ways in which you can avail yourself of our expert guidance in blast fx techniques. You may participate in one of our free scheduled training and assessment days which offer blast fx masterclasses, practical drills related to the online theory content and the opportunity to talk personally with our qualified tutors. Or you can simply study the free blast fx release included in this course which consists of a blast fx CD, choreography notes and access to the accompanying free choreography video downloads.

Course Assessment

Assessment for the theory component is via a multiple-choice test worksheet at the end of each of the self-paced sections. Upon successful completion of the online theory content, you progress to the practical assessment - teaching a track from the blast fx programme (excluding the Warm Up, Core or Active Recovery tracks), either in person or by a video submission.

The face-to-face practical assessment sessions are conducted on the scheduled training and assessment days mentioned earlier. For a video submission of your practical assessment, simply select a track from the blast fx choreography downloads (excluding the Warm Up, Core or Active Recovery tracks), learn it and film yourself teaching it according to the guidelines provided in the Assessment Guidance module of your online course. Once filmed, send your assessment in to us, on DVD, to be assessed.

In both the face-to-face and video assessment scenarios, the assessor will be looking at the quality of your cueing, choreography progressions, motivation and ability to teach to the level of the group and/or individuals within the group.

NOTE:

  • If you wish to book a scheduled blast fx training and assessment day, you must do so when you enrol. You will receive a blast fx release on the training and assessment day.
  • If you prefer to submit a video assessment and not to book a blast fx training and assessment day, a blast fx release will be posted to you automatically.
  • The online theory component must be completed BEFORE attending the training and assessment day or submitting your video assessment.
  • We maintain a telephone tutoring service during our business hours to assist participants through the course.
  • Certificates will be issued after both components of the course have been completed successfully.

Earning a Certificate in Teaching blast fx is one of the most positive steps you can take to ensure your professional and personal success as an Exercise Professional.
